How to Register

• Student presenters can register after their abstract has been accepted (Registration Form). Student presenters will be required to provide the presentation code that was generated and provided to them after their initial abstract submission. A presentation will NOT be scheduled until after the presenter(s) associated with that presentation have registered. Once presentations have been scheduled, all students, faculty, and guests associated with that particular presentation will receive a final e-mail notification about the time and place of the presentation and directions to the conference site.



• Faculty mentors, administrators, and guests can simply fill out the Registration Form. Please note that faculty mentors can use the Web link that was provided to them in the e-mail they received after their student(s) submitted their application to present.

Those that have been assigned a Fee Waiver Code will be required to provide it when they register as well.

Registration Fees
The registration fee for this conference will include the registrant’s nametag, Conference Program, presentation equipment, breakfast, lunch, and reception. Based on how student presenters’ and faculty mentors’ affiliations were selected in the submission process, they will be assessed a registration fee. Guests are also expected to register. UC Irvine students, faculty, and administrators will have to register, but their registration fee will be covered by the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) at UC Irvine.

A reduced fee is available for early registration with a deadline of Monday, November 3, 2003. Afterward, regular registration fees will take effect.

Please note the deadline for all registration is Friday, November 14, 2003, and there will be no registration on-site.

Registrants will have the option to pay via credit card or check. Here is the complete breakdown of the registration fees:

Early Registration Discount: Fee received on or BEFORE November 3, 2003
$25 - High school and community college students, faculty, administrators
$45 - Four-year college and university student presenters, faculty, administrators
$25 - Other/Guests
$ 0 - UC Irvine student, faculty, administrator (UROP is covering this cost)

Regular Registration: Fee received AFTER November 3, 2003
$35 - High school and community college students, faculty, administrators
$55 - Four-year college and university student presenters, faculty, administrators
$25 - Other/Guests
$ 0 - UC Irvine student, faculty, administrator (UROP is covering this cost)

NOTE: Registration cancellations before Friday, November 14, 2003 will be refunded minus a $15 processing fee. Any cancellation after Friday, November 14, 2003 will not be refunded. Registrants who need to cancel their registrations must send an e-mail to sccur@uci.edu.
